General Description for 2023 Course

Spring/Summer Phase (March - June 2023):
Small groups will run from March to June 2023. Each small group will have three faculty and three trainees. Small group meetings will each be approximately 60-90 minutes and will be scheduled 2-4 times monthly using video teleconference (Zoom) and a web-based slide sharing site (Microsoft Teams). Additionally, trainees will spend at least 2-3 hours per week working on assignments, reviewing course material, participating in small group meetings by teleconference, and attending webinars remotely. Optional webinars will be offered monthly on the second and fourth Fridays at 12pm ET. There will be a trainee introduction and orientation webinar on Friday, March 3rd.

Residential Experience (June 5-8, Ann Arbor MI):
2023 Trainees will be expected to attend the residential portion of the course with a preliminary clinical trial protocol and informed consent document (developed during small groups). Trainees are expected to be free from clinical, teaching, and other professional responsibilities to allow for the refinement and finalization of their protocols.
