SIREN P-ICECAP Quick Guide – Overview & Access

This Quick Guide is a mobile-friendly tool designed to support P-ICECAP teams throughout the full SIREN P-ICECAP study workflow – including consenting, enrollment, randomization, intervention, and follow-up. It puts essential study materials, instructions, and resources at your fingertips in a streamlined, app-like format that can be saved to your mobile device or tablet for easy, on-the-go access.

The Quick Guide contains direct links to the most commonly used tools and webpages you’ll need while working with participants, including:

  • Call the Hotline – Tap to immediately reach the study hotline
  • Enrollment Packet – Everything you need during consent and enrollment
  • Randomization – Step-by-step guidance and tools for randomizing participants
  • Intervention – Quick reference for intervention procedures
  • Pre-Hospital Discharge – Steps and reminders before patient discharge
  • Follow-Up – Tips and links for ongoing participant follow-up

How to Add the Quick Guide to Your Device

iPhone / iPad (Safari):

  1. Open the Quick Guide link in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share icon (a square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
  4. You can rename the shortcut (e.g., “P-ICECAP Guide”) if you’d like.
  5. Tap Add in the top-right corner.
  6. The Quick Guide will now appear as an app icon on your home screen.

Android (Chrome):

  1. Open the Quick Guide link in the Chrome browser.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Select “Add to Home screen” (sometimes labeled “Install app” or “Add shortcut”).
  4. You can rename the shortcut (e.g., “P-ICECAP Guide”) if you’d like.
  5. Tap Add (you may be asked to confirm again).
  6. The Quick Guide will now appear as an app icon on your home screen.
