Outcomes Training
Welcome to the ICECAP outcomes training page! To be certified to administer the ICECAP neuropsychological test battery (NTB), Neuropsychological Outcomes Assessors (NOAs) MUST complete the process as outlined in Appendix A of the ICECAP Outcomes Manual. This page houses the training videos as outlined in the Outcomes MOP. Once you’ve reviewed the manual, please click the options below to learn more about the different testing instuments and the view the trainings.
Modified Rankin Scale (mRS)
The modified rankin Scale, or mRS, is an outcomes scale that was developed to help measure the degree of disability a person has suffered following a neurological event. Please watch the mRS training video below, especially if you are unfamiliar with the mRS. Once you have viewed the training, proceed to take the Certification test. The Certification link is located below the video.

Please note: the mRS training was developed by the SIREN network for use in NIH funded SIREN trials. The SIREN network is unable to offer support for any organizations outside of the network who use this training.
SIREN mRS Certification Test*
*Once you have successfully passed the Certification Test you will receive an email with your certificate. Please save that email for your personal records. The Certification is valid for 2 years.
Neuropsychological Test Battery (NTB)
The term ICECAP Neuropsychological Test Battery (“NTB”) encapsulates all secondary efficacy assessments conducted for this study. This includes the Neuro-QoL measures, the NIH Toolbox tests and all of the traditional neuropsychological paper and pencil tests. Please click the options below for the various training videos.
