SIREN Fellowship
Didactic Presentations for Fellows and Colleagues
As part of the SIREN Fellowship Program, SIREN will host monthly didactic presentations that will provide fellows with knowledge and skills that will help them navigate their careers in clinical research, trial design, and academic medicine. Sessions will strive to be engaging, practical, and relevant to the development of future clinical trialists. All learners are invited to participate in the SIREN Fellowship Didactic Series, including: students, junior faculty, fellows, staff, administrators, early-career investigators, and career investigators. Senior faculty and experienced researchers will share their insights and expertise via a monthly zoom didactic.
About the Program
Background
The SIREN Fellowship provides early-career investigators with hands-on experience in the design, conduct, and interpretation of multicenter clinical trials in emergency care. Fellows are embedded in active SIREN studies and participate in trial operations, planning discussions, and other activities aligned with their interests and goals. Most fellows contribute to at least one scholarly product during their term.
Eligibility
The fellowship is open only to trainees and early-career investigators affiliated with an active SIREN site. Eligible applicants may include residents, clinical fellows (ACGME and non-ACGME), graduate students, postdoctoral trainees, and junior faculty with protected time for research.
How to Apply
Each award hub manages its own fellowship selection process. Interested candidates should contact the Award Hub PI at their SIREN site for information about local application requirements and timelines.
Timing & Commitment
Fellowships typically last one year. Fellows should expect to dedicate approximately 3–6 hours per week to trial-related activities.
Funding
There is no central funding for this program. Participation may be supported through local resources, career development awards, or other mechanisms determined at the site or award hub level.
